At Pathways, we accomplish our mission of caring in partnership with health care professionals and long-term care facilities in the communities we serve. We hope that our publications will nurture collegial relationships.
We believe promoting the exchange of ideas and information will help achieve the most compassionate, quality health care for our patients and their families.
Our publications fall into the following categories:
- Physician & Health Professional Bulletin - A quarterly newsletter written for a physician and health professional audience in mind. Recent articles discussed topics such as: "Revoking Hospice is a Costly Decision"; "Statin Drugs May Reduce Flu Deaths"; "Patient End-of-Life Treatment Decisions"; "Vitamin D May Reduce Falls in the Elderly in SNFs"; "Dementia Risk Linked to Smoking".
- Pathways & Partners - A quarterly newsletter written for long-term care facilities staff and management. Recent articles discussed topics such as: "How Much Acetaminophen is Too Much?"; "Heavy Smoking Increases Risk of Dementia"; "Lay Down Your Burden"; "Fruits and Veggies May Improve Lung Function in COPD"; "Key to Infection Control is Simple Handwashing".
- Pathways Residential Care Journal - A quarterly newsletter written with our colleagues in assisted living (and independent and dementia care facilities) in mind. Recent articles discussed topics such as: "Bright Light Improves Dementia Symptoms"; "Interruptions Are Linked to Medication Errors"; "Pharmacists Improve Patient Outcomes"; "How Morphine Can Help in Heart Failure"; "Sitting is a Risk Factor for Death".
- Grief Support - Includes several quarterly newsletters and pamphlets created for those in need of grief support after the loss of a loved one.
- Donors - Includes several publications for donors interested in learning more about how Pathways Hospice Foundation supports the programs of Pathways Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty.
